Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) Melrose Park is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to support providers with onsite procedures, take vitals, perform phlebotomy, and administer vaccines. You will assist patients with appointments and review medical records, while contributing to a compassionate, community-focused care team.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Minimum of one year experience or clinical externship.
• Basic proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred).
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
