Job summary

ACCESS Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a collaborative care team. You will take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, administer vaccines, and support providers with procedures and patient scheduling.

Strong emphasis on clinical training, bilingual communication, and EMR (Epic) proficiency. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required as part of care delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
  • CPR/Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Minimum of one year experience or clinical externship.
  • Basic proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred).
  • Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with a skilled care team to provide health services and resources.
  • Assist providers with onsite procedures.
  • Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines.
  • Assist patients by responding to questions, scheduling appointments and reviewing records.
  • Grow knowledge through clinical and Epic EMR training.

Position Summary
  • Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
  • Assist providers with onsite procedures.
  • Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
  • Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
  • Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program
  • CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship
  • Basic proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred)
  • Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays

The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
