Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a collaborative care team in Bloomingdale, IL. You will take vital signs, assist with procedures, and administer medications and vaccines as directed, while guiding patients with appointments and records.

The role requires an MA diploma, CPR/BLS, EMR experience (Epic preferred), and flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays. ACCESS offers comprehensive benefits and retirement options to staff.

• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship
• Basic proficiency withEMR (Epic preferred)
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
