Job summary

Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our mission-driven team in Chicago. You will work with providers and a dedicated care team to deliver essential health services and resources to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing phlebotomy and administering vaccines, assisting with on-site procedures, and guiding patients through scheduling and records. Epic EMR training is provided to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Minimum of one year experience or clinical externship.
• Basic proficiency with EMR (Epic preferred).
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.

Position Summary

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification

The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
