Job summary

Westmont Living in Encinitas, CA seeks compassionate MED TECHs to support our residents in independent, assisted living and memory care settings.

Responsibilities include medication set-up, assisting with the Medication Program under RN supervision, and accurate MAR documentation to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Must pass health screens and background checks; criminal record clearance is required prior to initial presence.

Qualifications

• Experience with medication administration in a care setting.
• Ability to document medication administration accurately.
• Commitment to resident safety and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Set up medications and assist residents under RN guidance.
• Record and document MARs and PRN reasons.
• Ensure compliance with policy and state requirements.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-

administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at

the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

o Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance

o Leaves no blanks on MARs

o Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
