Job summary

Westmont Living's Riverside community is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication setup and self-administration under RN guidance.

You will assist with MAR documentation, coordinate with physicians and care team, and uphold licensing and safety standards. Candidates must pass health screenings and obtain basic first aid within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Pass health screenings including Physical, TB, and Drug test.
• Current basic first aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self administration of their medications.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs and note reasons for PRN and effectiveness of medication.
• Ensure compliance with policy and state requirements for medication documentation.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including: Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance; Leaves no blanks on MARs; Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
