Job summary

Westmont Living in Goleta, CA is hiring a compassionate MED TECH to support residents on the Medication Program under RN supervision. You will perform medication setup and assist residents with self-administration. Must pass health screens and background checks. This role requires attention to policy, MAR documentation, and cooperative work with RN

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including: MARs, leaving no blanks and noting PRN reasons and effectiveness

Responsibilities

• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Assist with medication administration under RN/RSD supervision and in compliance with licensing regulations

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-

administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at

the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

o Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance

o Leaves no blanks on MARs

o Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
