Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. in Culver City, CA is seeking a Med Tech to support residents with medication administration and documentation. You will set up medications, assist with self-administration, and record MARs in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.

Qualifications

• Must pass health screens (Physical, TB, Drug tests) and criminal background checks.
• Criminal record clearance required before first presence in the community.
• Current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication setup and assist residents with self-administration.
• Set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians/RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
