Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. in Riverside, CA is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication setup and self-administration within our assisted living and memory care community. You will document MARs, follow physician orders, and work closely with RNs to ensure accurate medication delivery.

The role requires completing health screenings, background checks, and maintaining a safe, caring environment for residents. Prior experience is valued, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Competent in medication setup and resident self-administration.
• Ability to set up, record, and assist with physician-ordered meds.
• Documentation on MARs immediately after assistance, no blanks.
• Criminal record clearance prior to start date.
• Must pass health screens such as TB test and physical.
• Current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs and note effectiveness and reasons for PRN when applicable.
• Maintain compliance with state requirements and policy documentation.
• Support a safe, homelike environment for residents and communicate needs to the care team.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
