Job summary

Westmont Living in Riverside, CA is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication setup and administration under RN direction within a memory care and assisted living environment.

You will document medication assistance per policy, maintain MAR accuracy, and help ensure resident safety while adhering to state requirements. A post-offer physical and background checks are part of licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Pass health screens including Physical, TB, and Drug test.
• Current basic first aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents with the Medication Program and self-administration as directed by RN and/or physician.
• Set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered; document on MARs per policy and state requirements.
• Ensure MARs are completed with no blanks and document reasons/effectiveness for PRN medications.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• o Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• o Leaves no blanks on MARs
• o Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
