Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support medication administration for residents in a Culver City senior living community. Responsibilities include setting up and documenting medication assistance, following MAR procedures, and ensuring proper records.

The role requires clearance prior to start, health screens, and a current first aid certificate or completion within 30 days. Westmont Living emphasizes competitive benefits and a supportive, homelike environment.

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; leaves no blanks on MARs; document PRN reasons and effectiveness on MARs.
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screens such as Physical, TB, and Drug test.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications.

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test.

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
