Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a MED TECH to join our Santa Barbara area community. You will assist residents with medication setup and self-administration, document in MARs, and follow physician or RN/RSD directions. A clean background and health screenings are required.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications.
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
