Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. in Culver City, CA is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our assisted living and memory care community. You will assist with medication setup, monitor and document administration, and support residents under RN guidance.

The role includes health screenings and compliance with MARs; weekend/evening shifts available. We offer competitive pay, daily pay program, meals, holidays, 401K match, tuition assistance, and the chance to train and grow with a caring team dedicated

Qualifications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians/RN/RSD.
• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screenings such as Physical, TB, Drug test.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians/RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; leaves no blanks; record PRN reasons and effectiveness.
• Comply with state requirements and internal policy for documentation.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
