Job summary

Cooper Standard is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support high-volume automotive manufacturing in Surgoinsville, TN. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated lines, troubleshoot robotics, and diagnose PLC/electrical issues to maximize uptime and safety.

Requirements include an associate degree or related certification, 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance, and experience with FANUC/Siemens/Allen-Bradley systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent apprenticeship/certification in a related field.
• 2+ years maintenance experience in high-volume manufacturing (Tier 1/OEM preferred).
• Proficient reading electrical schematics and hydraulic blueprints.
• Experience with multi-axis robotics and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated production lines.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program industrial robots used in welding and assembly.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
• Maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems, valves, pumps and actuators.
• Conduct root cause analysis to minimize downtime and drive improvements.
• Assist engineering with process optimization and OEE improvements.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and OSHA safety rules.
• Read blueprints and drawings; communicate findings to team; provide training as needed.
• Participate in continuous training to stay current with technology.
