Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive, Inc. is seeking Mechatronics Technicians I or II for our Surgoinsville, Tennessee facility.

The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated production lines and robotics to maximize uptime in a high-volume plant. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical/PLC issues, servicing hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and contributing to continuous improvement and safety efforts in a Tier 1/OEM environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field; or equivalent completed apprenticeship/technical certification.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment; automotive experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, hydraulic blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automated production lines, robotics, conveyors, and stamping systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, drives, and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
• Support continuous improvement and safety compliance per IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OSHA standards.
