Job summary

Cooper Standard is seeking a skilled technician to install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on automated production lines across robotics, conveyors, stamping, and assembly systems to maximize uptime and meet strict automotive delivery schedules.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, or related field; or equivalent apprenticeship/certification.
2+ years of maintenance experience in high-volume manufacturing (Tier 1 automotive or OEM preferred).
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, hydraulic blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.
Experience with multi-axis industrial equipment/robotics; knowledge of EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, DeviceNet.

Responsibilities

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on automated production machinery and assembly lines.
Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program industrial robots (FANUC, YASKAWA, KUKA).
Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, drives, and PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
Maintain pneumatic/hydraulic systems; valves, cylinders, pumps, actuators.
