Job summary
Cooper Standard Automotive seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support high-volume automotive production lines. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment, troubleshoot robotics, and diagnose electrical control circuits to minimize downtime.
You will read electrical schematics and blueprints, work from instructions, and collaborate with engineering to improve machine performance and safety in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Reading electrical schematics, hydraulic blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.
- Experience with multi-axis industrial equipment/robotics.
- Knowledge of industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, DeviceNet).
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-volume automated production machinery and lines.
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, YASKAWA, KUKA).
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, drives, and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
- Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems: valves, cylinders, pumps, actuators.
- Perform rapid root cause analysis to minimize downtime and implement permanent fixes.
- Support continuous improvement projects to optimize machine cycle times and OEE.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OSHA safety standards.
