Job summary

Cooper Standard is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated production lines across robotics, conveyors, stamping, and assembly systems. You will ensure maximum uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives on high-volume manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in high-volume manufacturing; Tier 1 automotive or OEM preferred.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics, hydraulic blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.

Responsibilities

• Automotive Line Maintenance: perform corrective and preventive maintenance on high-volume automated production machinery, assembly lines, and continuous process lines.
• Robotics & Automation: troubleshoot, calibrate, and program industrial robots used for welding, material handling, or assembly.
• Electrical & PLC Troubleshooting: diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, drives, and PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Omron.
• Fluid Power & Mechanical Systems: maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and actuators.
• Root Cause Analysis: rapid diagnostics during breakdowns to minimize downtime and implement permanent actions.
• Continuous Improvement: assist engineering to optimize cycle times, upgrade controls, and improve OEE.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: adhere to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OSHA; read blueprints; LA/TO; training as needed.
