Job summary
Cooper Standard Automotive seeks a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on automated production lines in a high-volume manufacturing environment in Tennessee. You will work on robotics, conveyors, stamping, and assembly systems to ensure maximum uptime and meet strict delivery schedules.
You will diagnose electrical/PLC issues, calibrate robots, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems while adhering to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and OSHA safety
Qualifications
- Requires associate degree or equivalent apprenticeship/technical certification.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in high-volume manufacturing (Tier 1 automotive preferred).
- Proficient reading electrical schematics, hydraulic blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance on automated production lines including robotics, conveyors, stamping and assembly systems.
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program industrial robots used for welding and material handling.
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, sensors, drives and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
- Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems and perform root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machine cycle times and overall equipment effectiveness.
