Job summary

RTX is seeking an engineer for its Test Solutions Engineering team to design advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental stations supporting complex defense systems. You will lead CAD modeling, documentation, and integration with high-reliability testing equipment across development, production, and sustainment phases.

You will collaborate with multiple domains to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance while adhering to stringent standards.

Qualifications

Advanced STEM degree required by start date.
Experience using CAD software to generate 3D models and assemblies (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, NX or equivalent).
Experience creating or maintaining mechanical hardware documentation and engineering drawings to ASME Y14 or ISO standards.
Experience may be gained through on-the-job work, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and EO environments.
Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems that integrate with state-of-the-art test technologies.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools for detailed engineering packages.
Ensure technical data packages meet ASME Y14/ISO drafting standards.
Validate test systems against accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues and implement improvements.
