Job summary

RTX is looking for a Mechanical Test Solutions Engineer to design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced fixtures and environmental test stations for aerospace and defense applications. You will work across the lifecycle from development to production to field sustainment, applying CAD tools and rigorous drawing standards to create robust test systems.

Responsibilities

Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and EO environments.
Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems integrated with state‑of‑the‑art test technologies.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD; deliver comprehensive assemblies.
Ensure data packages meet ASME Y14 or ISO GD&T standards.
Integrate and validate test systems meeting accuracy, repeatability, and reliability specs.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to diagnose malfunctions and implement design improvements.
