Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson, designing and validating high‑reliability mechanical test fixtures and environmental stations across the lifecycle of complex weapon systems.

You will use CAD tools to create 3D models and drawings, ensure compliance with ASME Y14/ISO GD&T standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to diagnose issues and drive design improvements in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced STEM degree required by start date.
• Proficiency with CAD software to create 3D models and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and EO environments.
• Conceptualize mechanical systems that integrate with state-of-the-art test technologies.
• Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CAD tools.
• Ensure all drawings/documentation meet ASME Y14/ISO GD&T standards.
• Integrate and validate test systems against accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose malfunctions and drive design improvements.
