Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson, AZ. You will design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations supporting complex weapon systems across their lifecycle.

You will create 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD tools, ensure data packages meet drafting standards, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability, manufacturability, and test effectiveness

Qualifications

Advanced STEM degree required by start date.
Experience using CAD software to generate 3D models and assemblies.
Experience creating mechanical hardware documentation and drawings per drafting standards.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations.
Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and EO environments.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools and ensure data packages meet drafting standards.
