Job summary

RTX Tucson is seeking a skilled engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team, designing high‑reliability mechanical test fixtures for defense programs. You will develop concepts, prototype fixtures, and implement environmental test stations across the product lifecycle.

You will use CAD tools to create 3D assemblies and detailed drawings, ensuring documentation adheres to ASME Y14 or ISO standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in STEM required by start date.
• Experience with CAD for 3D models and assemblies.
• Familiarity with drafting standards (ASME Y14 or ISO).

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design mechanical test fixtures for vibration, thermal, RF, and environmental environments.
• Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems that integrate with test technologies.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings with standard-compliant documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues and improve designs.
