Job summary

RTX's Test Solutions Engineering team is seeking a qualified candidate to design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental test stations for critical weapon systems across their lifecycle.

You will use CAD tools to create 3D assemblies and drawings, ensure documentation meets ASME Y14/ISO standards, and collaborate with manufacturing to diagnose issues and implement design improvements.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in STEM by start date.
Experience using CAD software to generate 3D models and assemblies.
Experience creating or maintaining mechanical hardware documentation and engineering drawings to ASME Y14/ISO standards.

Responsibilities

Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro-optical environments.
Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems integrated with state-of-the-art test technologies.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings of assemblies using CAD tools.
Ensure all data packages adhere to ASME Y14/ISO drafting standards.
Integrate and validate test systems against accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose malfunctions and improve designs.
