Job summary

RTX is seeking a talented engineer to join the Test Solutions Engineering team in Tucson, AZ. You will design, analyze, prototype, and implement advanced mechanical test fixtures and environmental stations powering complex weapon systems across their lifecycle.

The role requires an advanced STEM degree and hands-on CAD experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, or NX. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with drafting standards, and contribute to

Qualifications

Advanced degree in STEM and completed by start date.
Experience using CAD software to generate 3D models and assemblies.
Experience creating or maintaining mechanical hardware drawings per drafting standards (ASME Y14 or ISO).
Experience may come from coursework, projects, or on-the-job work.

Responsibilities

Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro-optical environments.
Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems that integrate with state-of-the-art test technologies.
Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CAD software.
Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards and tolerances.
Validate test systems against accuracy, repeatability, and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues and drive improvements.
