Job summary

Raley's in Camp Verde, AZ is seeking a Meat Team Lead to oversee daily operations in the Meat and Seafood departments and deliver exceptional customer service. You will supervise the meat team, coach staff, and ensure sales and profit goals are met through effective merchandising and product knowledge.

You will manage budgets, schedules, order supplies, maintain safety and quality standards, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment while providing a memorable customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem solving.
• Experience training and scheduling meat department staff.

Responsibilities

• Selecting and training new team members.
• Scheduling meat department personnel.
• Executing, communicating and supporting all merchandising programs.
• Providing excellent knowledge of all fresh, processed and packaged meat and cheese products.
• Leading the department as a role model, coach and trainer.
• Creating department budgets and tracking financial reports (profit and loss, sales, expenses).
• Ordering products and supplies, auditing deliveries, ensuring shelf stock levels and shrink control.
• Producing product and ability to cut and package fresh meat and cheese items.
• Ensuring compliance with health, weights and measures requirements.
• Merchandising service cases, self-service cases, frozen cases and deli walls per guidelines.
