You will help lead a busy team, ensure product quality, manage inventory, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced store environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in grocery Meat operations, strong math and communication skills, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years grocery retail experience in Meat department.
• Strong math, weights and measures understanding.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver quality product and great customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Knowledge of weekly ad items and assists with inventory and ordering; enforce department procedures for receiving and stocking.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation guidelines/regulations by all team members.
