Job summary

Raley's is seeking an Assistant Deli Team Lead to join its store in Mesa, AZ. This role focuses on providing superior customer service while leading a Deli/Bistro team in training to meet department goals and deliver high-quality products.

You will oversee deli operations, merchandising, safety, and inventory, while ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age. Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Direct department personnel in the absence of the Deli Team Leader, achieving department goals and communicating with store leadership.
• Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/bistro items across breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings.
• Display deli/bistro merchandise per guidelines and rotate items to ensure quality and shrink control.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed and audits are completed.
• Receive merchandise, audit invoices, and manage stock levels and shelving in deli areas.
• Monitor pricing, signage, and shelf tagging to maintain accurate merchandising.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, prep areas, and walk-in coolers.
• Safely operate equipment and fulfill customer orders to satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
