Raley's is seeking a Meat Team Lead to oversee day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments and to provide a memorable customer experience. You will direct and supervise all activities of the meat department staff to reach sales, profit and service goals.

Key responsibilities include selecting and training staff, scheduling personnel, merchandising programs, and ensuring product knowledge across fresh, processed, and cheese items.

Qualifications

• Experience training and supervising meat department staff.
• Ability to manage budgets and analyze financial reports.
• Excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Select and train new team members.
• Schedule meat department personnel.
• Execute merchandising programs.
• Provide knowledge of all fresh, processed and packaged meat and cheese products.
• Lead department, coach and train the team.
• Create department budgets and track financial reports (e.g. profit and loss).
• Order products and supplies, audit deliveries, maintain shelf stock levels.
• Produce and cut fresh meat, pork, poultry, fish and cheese items.
• Ensure compliance with health department and weights & measures requirements.
• Merchandise department and service/frozen/wall deli cases per guidelines.
• Achieve department sales and profits goals.
• Control department labor, inventory, shrink.
• Maintain safety equipment and follow safety guidelines.
