Job summary

Raley's in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Meat Team Lead to run day-to-day operations in the Meat and Seafood departments and to deliver a memorable shopping experience for our customers. You will supervise all activities of the meat department and its staff to meet sales, profit and service goals.

• Experience leading a grocery meat department team.
• Strong knowledge of meat and cheese products.
• Ability to train and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Select and train new team members.
• Schedule meat department personnel.
• Execute and support merchandising programs.
• Provide knowledge of fresh, processed and packaged meat and cheese products.
• Lead department as role model, coach, and trainer.
• Create department budgets and track financial reports (P&L, sales, expenses).
• Order products and supplies; audit deliveries; maintain stock levels and reduce shrink.
• Produce and cut fresh meat, pork, poultry, fish and cheese items.
• Ensure compliance with health department and weights & measures requirements.
• Merchandise cases and display areas per guidelines.
• Achieve department sales and profits goals.
• Control labor, inventory, stockouts, and shrink.
• Maintain safety equipment and follow safety guidelines.
• Safety sensitive position.
• All other duties as assigned.
