Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, food service, grocery or similar roles is advantageous.

• Must read, understand and follow directions and reliably meet the work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude toward customers and team members.
• Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information and sampling, and expressing thanks.
• Handling meat department tasks: ordering, cutting, grinding, slicing, weighing, wrapping and labeling per quality, freshness, and safety standards.
• Controlled product shrink and inventory costs through proper trimming and wrapping techniques.
• Selling products by providing helpful product information and accurate pricing signage.
• Using meat department tools safely and according to safety standards; ensuring proper signage and placement.
• Keeping the meat counter, work areas, service cases, and self-service displays clean, neat, and well-stocked.
• Assisting with the preparation of ready-to-go meat products and deli meats/cheeses for sale.
• Taking customer orders and ensuring completion to customer satisfaction.
• Adhering to safety requirements as a safety-sensitive position.
