You will assist in managing the department, coordinating orders, inventory, and daily operations while upholding safety standards and company policies. The role offers growth opportunities and a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years professional experience and 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat department processes is highly preferred.
• Be dependable, reliable, and able to interact with customers with a friendly attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety, health, and regulatory guidelines.
• Stand for up to 4 hours per shift and up to 8 hours per day; lift/carry 25–90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of the Meat & Seafood team.
