Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager in California to help lead the Meat & Seafood department and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store.

You will assist the Meat & Seafood Manager with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and training staff, while maintaining safety and sanitation standards to ensure fresh, high-quality products while upholding company guidelines and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years professional experience in grocery Meat department preferred.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours; walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Able to lift 25–90 lbs. and operate meat equipment safely.
• Strong customer service and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and merchandising the department for productivity.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, and supervision of the Meat team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales with planning and direction.
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of the Meat team.
