Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with basic math, weights and measures knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience, proven leadership, and 2-3 years grocery retail Meat dept experience preferred.
• Be dependable and reliable; able to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising and sales through planning, direction and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality product and exceptional customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
