Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead one of the busiest departments in the store, ensuring precision, quality, and exceptional customer service. You will assist in ordering, inventory control, training the Meat & Seafood team, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, in a temperature-controlled meat department

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 2 years of professional grocery retail meat experience.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform other duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety/Weighs and Measures regulations.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and lift 25–90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in department management and merchandising.
• Oversee inventory control, product quality, and team supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Contribute to delivering high-quality products and top customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Follow receiving, stocking, and unloading procedures to ensure freshness.
