Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to help customers make healthy choices and to lead one of the store's busiest teams. You will assist in managing and merchandising the Meat & Seafood department, focusing on quality, freshness, and high-level customer service.

The role requires leadership and experience in grocery retail, with ability to work a flexible schedule, adhere to health and safety standards, and train team members in meat department operations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with basic math skills.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience and 2-3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Ability to lead and train a team and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Follow safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and company recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood staff.
• Ensure adherence to receiving, stocking, and unloading procedures for freshness and quality.
