Job summary

Fresh Thyme Rewards is seeking a Meat Department team member to stock, cut, and prepare meat and seafood products to meet company standards. You will assist customers, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety across all shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
• Preferred 2–3 years grocery retail meat department experience.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship completed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock meat cases with proper presentation, tagging, and pricing per department standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in meat aisles and back areas, including spill control.
• Monitor rotation and freshness of meat products to prevent expired stock.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection at the meat counter; upsell where appropriate.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for temperature and quality compliance.
• Operate meat department equipment (knives, scales, wrappers, grinders, hobby tools) safely and correctly.
• Ensure proper temperatures are maintained during processing of meat and seafood items.
• Prepare specialty meat and seafood products following Fresh Thyme standards.
