Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to keep meat cases stocked, clean, and properly presented. You will assist customers, follow safety guidelines, and maintain accurate tagging and pricing.

The position requires high school diploma, 2+ years in meat or grocery, and familiarity with meat preparation and equipment. A proactive, team-driven attitude is essential, with flexibility for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in grocery or meat department preferred.
• Experience in natural foods a plus.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks meat cases and maintains presentation as per department schematics.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of meat areas and proper dating, tagging, and pricing.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection.
• Maintain proper temperatures during meat production.
• Operate knives and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare specialty meat/seafood items per Fresh Thyme recipes.
