Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to stock, label, and present meat and seafood items with accuracy. You will assist customers, operate department equipment, and maintain cleanliness and safety across the meat area.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to product quality. Prior meat handling experience is preferred, with opportunities for advancement within the market.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years grocery/retail meat experience preferred.
• Knowledge of meat handling and safety standards.
• Ability to operate meat department equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Stock meat cases and ensure proper presentation, pricing, and tagging.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of meat aisles, cooler, and work area.
• Monitor rotation and discard expired stock.
• Assist customers with product selection and cross-sell as needed.
• Prepare specialty meat products per recipes and department standards.
• Follow dating procedures and proper packaging for all products.
