Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Managing Director, Tax Operations to lead major operational programs and enterprise initiatives across Tax, aligning strategy, governance, and delivery. The role partners with Tax leadership to translate priorities into scalable operating models and measurable outcomes.

You will drive governance, performance visibility, and cross-functional execution, fostering transformation, efficiency, and long-term growth for the Tax practice while coaching and developing operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; or higher/equivalent with extensive operations experience
• Fifteen or more years in public accounting, professional services, or similar environments
• Significant experience leading operations, transformation initiatives, and cross-functional programs
• CPA, PMP preferred; strong executive communication and stakeholder management
• Experience building operating rhythms, metrics, and governance structures

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Tax transformation initiatives and high-priority operational programs
• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of Tax operating model
• Establish governance routines, performance tracking, and issue resolution
• Partner with Finance and Tax leadership to monitor budgets and metrics
• Advise Tax leadership and align leaders across functions to corporate priorities
• Oversee Directors and Managers and coach operations teams
