Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Managing Director, Tax Operations to lead major operational programs across Tax, aligning strategy, governance, and delivery. The role partners with Tax leadership to translate priorities into scalable operating models and measurable outcomes.

The position drives governance, performance visibility, and cross-functional coordination to advance transformation and long‑term growth within the Tax practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent experience in operations.
• Fifteen+ years in public accounting, professional services, or complex matrixed environments is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic execution and program leadership across Tax transformation initiatives.
• Drive operating model improvements for consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
• Establish governance routines and performance tracking to improve visibility.
• Partner with Finance and Tax to monitor budgets and performance trends.
• Act as strategic advisor to Tax leadership and coach ops leaders.
