Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking a Math Tutor to support students in local schools with 20–30 minute sessions in groups of up to three. You will be trained to deliver proven activities and coached throughout the program.

As an AmeriCorps member, you will work full-time during the 2026-27 school year, with a structured schedule Monday through Friday, daytime hours, no weekends, and a biweekly stipend.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to complete a background check.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
