Job summary

Ampact is hiring a Math Tutor as part of the Math Corps program to support students at a local school. You’ll tutor small groups (up to 3 students) for 20–30 minutes, then help them return to class and prepare the next group for tutoring.

We provide training and ongoing coaching so you can help students build math skills and confidence. The schedule runs for the 2026-27 school year with daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
