Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is hiring a Math Tutor to support students at a local school. You’ll lead small tutoring groups, track progress, and participate in coaching and training to improve skills and confidence. Part-time options are available; full-time AmeriCorps members receive a stipend and education awards.

You’ll work daytime school hours, with a friendly on-site team and opportunities to grow through ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
