Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps team is seeking a Math Tutor to help students in local schools through the AmeriCorps program. You’ll run small-group tutoring sessions, track progress, and follow a steady schedule with an on-site coach for guidance. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and celebrate each student’s growth.

As part of AmeriCorps, you earn a biweekly stipend and contribute to a nationwide tutoring effort that helps over 91,000 students. Positions are available for 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
