Job summary

Math Corps, administered by Ampact, is hiring tutors to support students in local schools through structured 20–30 minute sessions, with up to 3 students per group. You’ll receive training and coaching to deliver proven activities and help students build math skills and confidence.

Positions run for the 2026-27 year, with full-time (35 hours) and part-time options (25 or 15 hours) and a stipend of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Able to pass a background check.
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
