Math Corps, powered by Ampact, seeks a Math Tutor to support students at a local school with 20–30 minute sessions. You’ll guide groups of up to 3, track progress, and return students to class, delivering consistent encouragement and structured activities.

We provide training and coaching, with AmeriCorps stipend for full-time roles and a path to growth through community service. Strong attendance, reliability, and English fluency are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance and reliability.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
