Job summary

Math Corps, powered by AmeriCorps and administered by Ampact, seeks a Math Tutor to work in local schools and coach students daily. You’ll tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, track progress, and coordinate with an onsite coach.

Training and ongoing growth are provided, with a supportive team and opportunities to impact students’ confidence. Position runs August 2026–June 2027, 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with daytime hours and holidays off.

Qualifications

Dependable with consistent attendance and reliability.
Able to follow instructions and adapt based on feedback.
Proficient with email and basic computer tasks.
Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
Share your experience with the community.
