Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to help students at a local school build essential math skills. You’ll lead small groups, follow a schedule, and track progress with onsite coaching support, receiving training as needed.

Hours run 35 per week with daytime school-aligned times, Monday through Friday, with some weeks shorter for holidays. Part-time roles at 20 hours are also available; AmeriCorps benefits and tuition assistance are included.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance and ability to follow instructions.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, navigation, etc.).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident; able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
